I should not have eaten that

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Do you ever have those moments when you go, “I don’t think I should have eaten that?” I have too many to list them all.

There were the times (yes times, I’ve done this twice) I put milk in my tea because I “always” put milk in my tea, but didn’t clue into the fact that the tea at that moment contained citrus. Citrus and milk don’t play well together.

Do you usually put cottage cheese in your tea?

I should not have eaten that.

Then there are all the fun times I've eaten a crumb off the couch and realized it was not what I thought. Cookie crumbs do not have a cottony texture.

I should not have eaten that.

Then there are all the random containers of food in the fridge. It’s like the Tupperware lottery. You open a container, eat the contents and see what you get. If you’re lucky you identify the new tastes in your mouth. If you’re not so lucky you spend the next ten minutes puzzled (when did we last have crock pot surprise?) and the rest of the evening in the bathroom.

Eating moldy food does not increase your immunity.

I should not have eaten that.

There was the time I turned Honey Mustard Chicken into a curry dish. You can read about it here.

I should not have eaten that.

This morning I put funny smelling cream in my coffee. I don’t feel so good. I keep picking chunks of cream out of my teeth.

I should not have eaten that.

Have you ever eaten anything you wished you didn't?

It should be said. That the funny smelling cream did not come from my fridge at home. We're usually pretty good at eating food before it goes bad. But there are days...
